Ice Bear Extraordinaire

Bart was but a humble Ice Bear, minding his own business with a clan of other ice bears in the icy caves of his homeland, when Kira, Cleo and her crew stumbled in, searching for a treasure trove. The bears instinctively sought to defend themselves against the unwanted guests, and could not be calmed, but for Priestess Cleo's calming animal charms. For Bart, Cleo remained as charming as the day they first met. Even after Kira had discovered there was nothing of monetary value in the ice caves, Bart followed the crew and eventually came to act as a member! He took an active role in combat. But as the crew traveled south, Bart started to feel the heat all too keenly. It was decided by a vote that to spare Bart from the heat, he should be shaved of his thick coat of fur.

 It seemed like a good idea at the time.... the sun ought to have been much more kind without that coat. However, what the crew had not taken into account was the fact that Ice Bears don't necessarily have skin that is accustomed to sunlight. Unfortunately, Bart fell victim to a most heinous sunburn. All they could do was dress him up in human clothes to protect him. And that they did.... And so Bart the sunburned, shaved Ice Bear became a part of Captain Kira's crew, and grew to become one of Cleo's closest friends. :)
