My Long term goals

1. >:) As of July 9, 2005, I reached my first goal! To marry Charles!! I am so blissfully happy. :) :) :) EEEEEEEEK! I look forward to spending the rest of my life with him. :)

2. Uh-oh! goal number two is a secret! Sorry!

3. I want to write a book someday. I want my book to really mean something, and help people out. (That way, I'll get invited to go to big parties and can eat tons and tons of free food!)

4. I want to become a Psychologist so I can help people to feel good about themselves. Even though I am evil, I really think it is sad that so many people these days (particularly girls) feel that their worth hinges solely upon their physical attributes or lack thereof. Of course, before I can become a psychologist to help these poor souls, i have to overcome my obsession with goal #5.....

5. I want to be a BABE!!!! Yup, that's right! I am tired of being me.... i want to be one of those skinny/perfect girls.

5a. I want smaller legs!!!!! Brad was right, I DO have big legs!!! Grrrr!

It's disgusting, isn't it?

5b. I want to quit biting my nails. What an awful habit! Ewwww!

My short term goals

1. I want firmer abs. If you've witnessed the BANANA ABS OF STEEL before, you are probably familiar with the layer of lard surrounding the abs. I want to make that go away. I was storing fat for hibernation, but those plans fell through, so now I am stuck with a big POOCHY BELLY. :(    *pout pout*

2. I want to get into Graduate School!

3. I want to be less of a burden on Charles. He really goes out of his way to help me out, and I think I oftentimes end up being a strain on him. :( Poor anna. She'll have to try harder, and spend less money! Grrrrr.....

4. I want to get down to 120 pounds. I am only 5'5", so this ought to be a realistic goal.

5. I want to be able to run 10 miles. JUST BECAUSE.

Goal Update:

As of mid June, my goal is to trim down before AWA so i won't feel bad. I am also trying to drink 8 glasses of water a day. And if you'll note short term goal #3 above, i will inform you that i got a 3.0 this semester. It brought down my overall GPA, so my goal for NEXT SEMESTER is to bring it up again. Wish me luck, and thanks to all my friends for their support!

Oh yeah, and I want to be cute, like Deedlit. :)

Here is Deedlit, the Shamanistic Princess of Cuteness!

New update... It is now February, 2002. I am starting early to get ready for next AWA. Unfortunately, I had to quit Martial Arts for the time being. This has been EXTREMELY difficult, but I couldn't afford it anymore, and my school and personal relationships were really suffering. I hope one day I will be allowed to resume training. In the meantime, I have been working out a couple of days a week doing cardio and some light weights. I feel like I am getting healthier, but i have a long way to go. I have really cut back on french fries, and I gave up chocolate for lent, so wish me luck! It isn't easy, and I would even go so far as to say it is really unpleasant. But one must make sacrifices to succeed in life.

New update as of July 2002. I am 22 years old, and I just finished my classes for Undergraduate school. Now I am looking for a job, and getting poochier everyday!

New update as of February 2003. I have been jogging with my friend Shay, who ran cross-country in high school. He has really helped me so far. :) yay! And thanks to my job, I have been sponsored in 2 charity events- the Race For The Cure and the Jingle Bell Run. :) I finished both and only walked a little ways. :/ Still got a long way to go.

Finishing time: an unimpressive 40:19

Finishing time: 38:42 (not good, but a little better!)

April 2003-  Let's take a moment to consider my inspiration. Last week I went to the health club and had a "Fit Test." The results were unpleasant, but now I know where I stand on a few things, so I am gonna try to keep track of some of my personal stats so I can track my progress. Everyone wish me some luck. In non-fitness news, I am working on the beginnings of the Grad School application process. I have a long road ahead but am trying to be assertive. Also, I STOPPED BITING MY NAILS! Thanks to Brutal Ashley the Cruel from work. She taught me a little "secret technique" to help me quit, and it has worked amazingly well! :) So, as you can tell, I have lots going on!

November 9,2003-

March 2004- I have gained weight since the last time I posted. Furthermore, I did NOT get into Graduate School. Well isn't that just wonderful? So I need to crack down on myself and get into gear. Hopefully the next time I update, I will have lost some weight. *M

May 1,2004- My body fat sucks, at 27%, but I completed my 4th 5K with my best time yet. Thanks to the suggestion of an acquaintance, I joined the Knoxville Track Club. :) Woot!

March 6, 2005- I reached Long-Term Goal #1, so now I can tell you what it was: I am going to marry Charles! He proposed in December. Yay! So that is totally awesome, but body-wise, it leaves me in quite the predicament. I need to lose some major weight. I have ballooned up to 160-something pounds. I finally got into graduate school, and that is awesome, and since being here at MTSU I have already lost a little bit of my newly gained weight. My goal now is to get to 145 by the wedding. That is my "realistic" goal. My REAL goal would be much lower, but I do understand the importance of being realistic. So we'll see what happens. ;) I gave up fried food for lent this year. I cheated once so far- but I feel like I am on my way to being a healthier person. :)

March 1, 2007- Ok, I am almost done with my Master of Arts degree at MTSU. I'm working on my thesis and will either graduate in May or August. YAY! I also got accepted to UT Knoxville's Library Science program! So I'm in the process of applying for various types of financial aid so that I can afford to go to library school. I am running with Shay again since Charles and I moved back to Knoxville. That's been a blast. So I guess things are going pretty well!
